Barcelona: The first ever Vacation Rental Tech Week is set to take place in Barcelona next week, from 1-5 April.
The week will be an opportunity to showcase meet-ups and events for representatives from right across the professional vacation rental industry.
The objective of Vacation Rental Tech Week is to connect property managers and owners with innovative technology partners during the week of meet-ups and events, some of which are free to attend for visitors. The week gathers together a diverse community from the vacation rental industry to initiate, share and celebrate new visions and ideas to take their businesses forward.
In addition, the week includes the popular VRTech event hosted by Rentals United, at KigoWorld, a Guesty & Friends meet-up and an event aimed at introducing the new trips community, an alternative holiday rental OTA based on the blockchain. Organisers of the week are expecting to attract a large number of professionals from all over Europe.
Vanessa de Souza Lage, founder of VRTech events and co-founder and CMO of Rentals United said: “The vacation rental start-up scene is thriving right now, and Barcelona has long been a hub for the travel tech industry, with talent as its core.
“Barcelona leads the global conversation in innovating and scaling tech. It’s where we started the VRTech events, so it was natural to have the first ever Vacation Rental Tech Week here,” she added.
Speakers at the four events include executives from Rentals United, Transparent, Guesty, Beyond Pricing, Kigo as well as Matt Landau, founder of VRMB, and Jeremy White, executive editor of Wired Magazine.
