UK: Finest Retreats confirmed the acquisition after completing a six-month integration period over the peak summer season.
The independent agency says the priority was to transition owners and properties without disruption, maintaining operations under the existing Forgotten Corner brand.
The deal marks the company’s first acquisition and comes at a time when several UK holiday-lettings businesses have slowed expansion due to regulatory uncertainty and slower sector activity linked to upcoming budget changes. Finest Retreats said its ability to retain local management and preserve owner relationships was central to the agreement.
Forgotten Corner founder Harry Taylor said he chose the buyer based on alignment in service approach and long-standing familiarity between the teams.
Richard Bond, owner of Finest Retreats, said the agency aims to maintain Forgotten Corner’s established owner relationships while broadening marketing reach and distribution. He added that additional owners in the local area have already approached the agency since the integration was completed.
Finest Retreats is now exploring further opportunities with other owner-managed agencies across the UK.
