Difference makers from across the global short-term rental industry gathered in London to celebrate the 2023 Shortyz Awards, as 20 new winners were unveiled at the ArcelorMittal Orbit in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, an emblematic structure of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games in the city.

More than 200 people attended the star-studded, live, in-person event, hosted by ShortTermRentalz editor Paul Stevens and Boutique Hotel News editor Eloise Hanson.

The 20 award categories were judged by an independent panel consisting of investors, consultants and experts, before a short voting period was held. All of the winners were decided by a 50:50 split between judge scores and the public vote, with more than 65,000 votes cast from around the world.

An unprecedented 390+ entries were received during the entries period, which lasted from the start of December until mid-March.

This year heralded the arrival of one new category – the Rentalpreneur award – which was open to individuals making money from renting out holiday properties as part of their business and educating the rest of the industry on how they too can be successful.
