AirDNA has launched a new 2026 World Cup short-term rental tracker, providing early visibility into booking patterns across all host cities ahead of next summer’s tournament.
The dashboard, released today, tracks how demand, rates and supply are beginning to shift more than six months before the event. Early signs point to an initial uplift in several markets, with Guadalajara, Vancouver and Monterrey showing the first indications of World Cup-driven activity.
According to AirDNA chief economist Jamie Lane, the market is “on the verge of a significant shift”, with bookings expected to double or even triple after the 5 December team draw, as travellers switch from general interest to destination-specific planning.
Lane also expects host cities to increase their short-term rental supply as the tournament approaches, drawing parallels with the 45 per cent jump recorded in the run-up to the Paris Olympics, a pattern AirDNA believes could repeat across North America.
The tracker will be updated weekly every Monday from 1 December, providing a rolling view of booking pace, demand and pricing trends as the tournament gets closer.
The live tracker is available on AirDNA’s website.
