Greece: Be My Guest, a boutique offering from Greek hotel group Nimaris Ikke, is expanding its activity in the short-term rental market in Athens.
The group has added five new short-term rental properties to its Be My Guest apartment portfolio, bringing it up to seven.
Nikos Anthrakidis told GTP: โOur high-quality properties are located in key areas around the Acropolis, such as Thisio, Koukaki, Syngrou-Fix and Ano Petralona.โ
The five new additions are all in the Thissio district, nearby to the Acropolis, at the heart of the Athenian tourist industry.
Anthrakidis added: โThey prefer the hotels due to its location, which is ideal for sightseeing and visiting many archaeological sites in the capital.โ
The additional properties allow for five to seven guests each in order to cater for families stays. Each individual offering is designed to have a unique aesthetic quality, in addition to the full amenities expected in a holiday rental.
The rentals have become a hotspot for Greeks visiting Athens from the north of the country. The owners speculate that this is due to both their own northern Greek background as well as their favourable location.
Anthrakidis noted: โThey also prefer the Be My Guest hotel because we take care of our guests and offer warmth and tranquility combined with a minimal decor and very friendly service.โ
Greeceโs short-term rental market has come under scrutiny recently, with industry experts claiming it may be approaching saturation. In addition, the government is threatening fines on operators who do not declare their rental data to the government for taxation.
