ENVITAE to offer free stays for first responders and medical staff
US: Luxury short-term rental provider ENVITAE is openly offering free stays for first responders and medical staff actively fighting the COVID-19 pandemic in Baltimore, Chicago and Long Beach.
Medical staff and first responders can stay for up to 5 days free of charge, and extend their stay at heavily discounted rates.
The company’s CEO, Josh Rogers, said: “We are incredibly grateful for the exceptional medical professionals who are combatting this devastating virus and saving countless lives while risking their own health at the same time. This outbreak requires everybody to do their part, and we want to help make a difference by providing free housing to the heroes who need it the most.”
ENVITAE claims to provide “high-end residential buildings with great amenities”, including an indoor/outdoor pool, full gym, sky lounge, and patios, by offering the “benefits of an apartment stay, without the downside risk of being hosted by an individual”.
It joins a growing list of companies such as Badi and UnderTheDoormat [the latter in partnership with LaundryHeap] in offering free accommodation to health professionals and emergency services working to combat the pandemic.
First responders and medical staff in need of accommodation in Baltimore, Chicago or Long Beach are encouraged to reach out to ENVITAE at helpinghand@envitae.io and provide their name, requested location and dates with more information here.
ENVITAE says it will do its best to accommodate received requests subject to limited capacity. Stays are currently available for up to five days according to the company’s website.
