US: Hospitality-focused vacation rental business, First Chair, has been launched by a group of former Vacasa and Wyndham Destinations executives, alongside private equity backing.
The venture brings together industry figures including Timothy Koropsak, David Carlson, Alan Marandola and former Lexicon CEO Joel Inman, in partnership with Bob Milne and Paceline Equity Partners.
Through its operating arm, First Chair Operating Company, the business has acquired a portfolio of rental management agreements from Vacasa in ski destinations, alongside additional properties in coastal locations from Casago.
The company said it will focus on building a locally driven operating model, with an emphasis on on-the-ground teams and relationships with homeowners and guests.
The portfolio is concentrated in established holiday markets, particularly ski resorts and coastal destinations, sectors that continue to see steady demand within the short-term rental market.
First Chair is expected to officially launch its consumer-facing brand in June.
