Greece: Italian luxury villa rental site Haute Retreats has added a new curated selection of luxury villas in Greece, as the country reopens its borders to international travellers.
Greece is undergoing a phased reopening of its tourism and hospitality sectors, after a national lockdown ceased on 3 May. The country’s tourism minister, Harry Theoharis, confirmed Greece would fully reopen to tourists on 14 May, albeit with quarantine restrictions for travellers from certain countries with higher Covid-19 infection rates, while nationals on the Greek islands are set to be vaccinated by the end of June to boost the country’s ailing tourism sector.
Now, travellers will be able to choose from more than villas to stay at in Mykonos, Corfu, Santorini, Crete, Zakynthos, Paros and Sifnos. Those booking villas through Haute Retreats will receive a 24/7 concierge service, and “exclusive” access to reservations at restaurants and in-villa beauty treatments, private yacht charters, chef-prepared meals and more.

Villa Anthea [Mykonos] consists of seven spacious suites [one single] with en suite bathrooms, and can accommodate up to 14 guests. Featuring an outdoor wellness area, sea views, a jacuzzi and more, the villa in the region of Elia is less than a 20 minutes’ drive both from Mykonos Town and the island’s airport.
Villa Apollon [Mykonos] is a three-bedroom villa offering sunset views over the island of Delos. Each of the two master bedrooms features a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom, while The guests can gather in the living room or enjoy the views from the outdoor infinity-edge heated swimming pool and lounge.
Villa Verina [Sifnos] is located in the picturesque village of Vathi, surrounded by olive groves and only minutes away from the beach in Sifnos. Villa Verina features cosmopolitan amenities but also retains authentic and local architectural style, creating a calm and sophisticated environment. The luxury villa is split into three buildings, providing large outdoor space but also allowing each guest their own private part of the house, which is ideal for families in particular.
Villa Cecile [Crete] is located only a short drive from the cosmopolitan town of Elounda, in Crete and accommodates ten guests. Overlooking the Aegean Sea, the fully serviced villa features lavish interiors and gardens to provide ambience and privacy, while guests can also access a private beach, shared with the whole villa estate, for a secluded beach experience.
