Farncombe Estate launches Hillside Hangouts

UK: Worcestershire-based Farncombe Estate, the hospitality team behind the Dormy House Hotel & Spa, The Fish and Foxhill Manor hotels, has launched Hillside Hangouts, a new self-catering offering for families and friends to experience in the Cotswolds.

Two new holiday cottages are being created in the grounds of the 400-acre private estate near Broadway, with further properties set to be transformed and added to the collection in the future.

Hillside Hangouts launches with The Hoot, a six-bedroom hangout sleeping up to 15 people, and The Nook, which will launch to guests on 1 December 2021.

The Nook will sleep up to eight people in three bedrooms [six adults and two children] in order to cater for celebrations, parties and group getaways with friends and family.

Farncombe Estate CEO Andrew Grahame said: “There is a desire to find the perfect, private rural hideaway – without straying too far from one’s comfort zone nor skimping on luxury and this is what we have created with Hillside Hangouts. Fun, relaxed places to make your own, with plenty of treats and surprises along the way.”

The Hillside Hangouts Experience

The Hillside Hangouts properties are designed to offer “supreme comfort and luxurious, well-designed interiors”, each one individual in its style and décor. Guests will also be able to dine at the restaurants at Dormy House [MO, The Back Garden and The Potting Shed] and The Fish [Hook], as well as participate in activities through the Farncombe Adventures team, such as axe throwing, archery, clay pigeon shooting, falconry and yoga.

Guests will be looked after by their very own Hillside Hangout host, who will be on hand to help plan each stay ahead of arrival and create a very personal self-catering bundle. The host will ensure a seamless experience throughout, from organising specially prepared food boxes or private chefs, to booking in-house beauty treatments and outdoor activities.

In addition, guests can pre-order from a menu of snacks, breakfast hampers and gourmet food offerings ready for their arrival.

The Nook:

Originally a private home for the local farmer, The Nook has been transformed into a furnished farmhouse with far-reaching views across the Cotswold farmland.  It features three en-suite bedrooms [sleeping up to eight guests], a roll top bath, lounge and log burner, state-of-the-art kitchen, dining space, music room, and outdoor terrace with a barbecue and hot tub.

The Hoot:

The Hoot caters for groups of up to 15 guests [11 adults and 4 children], featuring seven bedrooms guests, a boot room, lounge and sofas, wood burner and surround-sound TV, office space, and outdoor terrace with a barbecue and private hot tub.

Hillside Hangouts are being offered out on a minimum three-night stay basis and are also dog friendly.
