US: Two San Francisco-based vacation rental software startups, Orbirental and Hostfully, have merged.
“Our companies are a perfect fit for each other. Our vision is aligned, our skills are a great match, and our products are complementary,” said CEO and co-founder Margot Schmorak. “Combined, we give vacation rental companies all the tools they need to run their business, including centralised reservations, channel management, and guest communications.”
Stephan Osmont, former CEO and CTO of Orbirental, said: “I’m thrilled to merge with the Hostfully team. We’ve been working together for over a year on our technical partnership and it’s been a great way to get to know each other.”
Michael Cardamone, managing director of Acceleprise, said: “As an investor in both companies, we couldn’t be happier to see this top-tier team come together to tackle the $30 billion problem in the vacation rental industry.”
The two products, Orbirental and Hostfully, will continue to be available to the market, and the teams will remain the same, now working together. The merged company will be called Hostfully. Co-founders are Margot Schmorak (CEO), Stephan Osmont (CTO), David Jacoby (president) and Noah Neiman (product).
