US: Los Angeles-based hospitality technology company Jurny has announced that Kevin Rohani has joined the firm as a board adviser.
Rohani joins Jurny from lifestyle hospitality company SBE, where he started his career before going on to become senior vice president of development and head of development. There, he was in charge of spearheading growth efforts in new developments across hotel, residential and culinary projects leveraging his extensive relationships with developers and investors around the world.
In addition, he has previously served as vice president of development and acquisitions at Dream Hotel Group – where he drove expansion efforts for the company across Europe, Central America, Canada and the United States – and continues to serve on the advisory board of the entertainment and hospitality management programme at California State University, Fullerton, and the board of advisers at SG Blocks, a designer and developer of modular construction.
Seeking to “pioneer the next generation of tech-first, on-demand hospitality”, Jurny powers operations and guest experiences for independent hotel brands, vacation and short-term rental properties, including automating the experience from check-in to check-out for both guests and operators.
In October, Jurny secured $9.5 million in an investment round led by Mucker Capital, which took the company’s total investment to date to $12.45 million.
Following that, the company rolled out its latest product offering – Jurny Virtual – which is designed to provide a simplified, fully-connected tech stack by seamlessly integrating and connecting most major channel management [CMS], point of sale [POS], room management [RMS], facility management [FMS], marketing and smart home tech solutions in one, easy-to-navigate operator dashboard.
