US: Short-term rental analytics firm Key Data has appointed Dustin Downing to serve as its president.
Downing’s career in data-forward industries has focused on growing technology platforms. Key Data made this hire to continue its own expansion through a focus on product offering and AI capabilities.
He first worked for Sabre Corporation, eventually becoming senior director of product management. Downing contributed to building Sabre Red Workspace and Sabre’s developer ecosystem and broader traveller experience.
In his last role, Downing led OrderMyGear’s product offerings, which completed three acquisitions and a 2025 merger during his time. Before that, Downing served as product director at the influencer shopping firm LTK, helping to launch its creator app.
Key Data said that as president Downing would focus on three growth areas, including go-to-market strategy, product and AI capabilities and operational infrastructure.
Downing said: “Key Data has built something special, with a proprietary, contributory dataset connected directly to property management systems across the industry. Having spent much of my career in travel technology, I’ve seen how powerful that kind of foundation can be. As AI reshapes how operators make decisions, the companies with the deepest, most trusted data will define the next phase of the industry. There is a clear opportunity to build on what has already been created and establish Key Data as the intelligence layer that the entire short-term rental ecosystem depends on.”
