Lokalee notches $5.6m in pre-Series A funding

UAE: Lokalee, a B2B AI-powered travel content platform specifically developed for holiday homes and hotels, has raised $5.6 million in pre-Series A funding.

The funding round was led by Crown Private Fund, as well as three other strategic investors in the hotel and technology space whose names were not disclosed.

Lokalee sets out to provide hotel and holiday home guests with all of the information they need about their room / property and city at their fingertips. As well as amenities, the startup provides a digital concierge solution that offers everything from dining recommendations to experiences, attraction tickets and customised itineraries in their destination.

Through its white label platform, Lokalee is aiming to improve guest attractions, increase potential revenue flow and simplify operations, making the browsing and booking process simpler for all parties.

The startup will seek to use the funding to expand into more European markets and accelerate its product development, including enhancing its AI-powered trip planner. Lokalee already partners with 250 hotel clients in 20 countries [including Saudi Arabia, Germany and Austria] such as Hilton, Sheraton, Accor, Millennium, Movenpick, Sofitel and Rotana.

Lokalee CEO Samir Abi Frem said: “With this new source of funding, we are determined to accelerate our ambitious expansion to optimize the digitization of the guest journey for our customers.”

Founded in 2021, Lokalee was created by Advanced Digital Technology DWC-LLC. The app is currently available in the Middle East and Europe, and is aiming to become the go-to lifestyle travel app for business travellers, leisure guests and local residents around the world.
