UK: British holiday home owners could be in with a chance of winning £10,000 as part of a nationwide search for Britain’s Best Holiday Let, launched by independent holiday cottage rental agency Sykes Holiday Cottages.
Sykes is calling on property owners to come forward this summer and showcase their holiday homes – whether it be a quaint cottage, luxurious apartment or quirky glamping retreat.
Not only will the overall winning entry receive the £10,000 cash prize, but with several categories to enter, property owners could also win further cash prizes and free consultancy and advice from the experts at Sykes.
As well as Britain’s Best Holiday Let, other categories include Best Renovation, Best Quirky Holiday Let, Best Sustainable Holiday Let, Best Interior Design and Best Property With a View.
Holiday home owners keen to enter should visit this link and they simply need to share a short summary of why they deserve to win.
Entries are open from 18 June until 13 September and T&Cs apply.
The competition will be judged by Sykes CEO Graham Donoghue, alongside The Times’ deputy property and personal finance editor, Carol Lewis, and The Holiday Let Success podcaster Elaine Watt.
Graham Donoghue, CEO at Sykes Holiday Cottages, said: “We’ve launched these awards to recognise and reward the hard work of holiday let owners across the country. Wherever you may be based and whatever the property, we want to hear from you.
“More and more travellers are opting for staycations over holidays on the continent, particularly while foreign travel remains so uncertain. We’ve seen a real boost in holiday home owners coming to us as a result – who knows, we may see them on the awards shortlist,” he added.
Sykes Holiday Cottages offers over 19,500 holiday homes from property owners across the UK, Ireland and New Zealand.
Founded nearly 30 years ago, Sykes has also won the British Travel Award for Best Large Holiday Cottage Booking Company for seven consecutive years.
