Vacasa launches Florida community association management services
US: Property management platform Vacasa has launched community association management services in Florida after signing its first association in the state, Shell Harbor Inn Resort & Club.
The company is contracted to provide Shell Harbor Inn Resort & Club homeowners with a full suite of community association management services including administrative, accounting, debt management and site management. Vacasa says it will also manage several Shell Harbor Inn Resort & Club condos as short-term rentals.
Director of community association management, Meghan Lutterman, said: “With so many popular holiday destinations in Florida, it’s no wonder that Vacasa manages more vacation rentals in Florida than in any other state. Now we’re able to carry that service a step further by bringing decades of HOA management experience to communities that are dense in short-term rentals like Shell Harbor Inn Resort & Club.”
Vacasa has also hired industry veteran Sandy Ellis in the role of community association manager for Shell Harbor Inn Resort & Club. Ellis is a licenced community association manager, certified manager of community associations and associated management specialist, with more than 20 years experience from those respective roles.
Ellis said: “Shell Harbor Inn Resort & Club is an ideal property for Vacasa to showcase our short-term rental focused community association management expertise to other associations in the state of Florida.
“Already a pristine property, we look forward to taking care of its physical amenities and assisting the board with administrative and financial matters to keep every aspect of Shell Harbor Inn Resort & Club running smoothly,” added Ellis.
Vacasa Community Association Management launched in 2018 and independently brought on 19 associations throughout Florida, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho and Costa Rica. Following the company’s acquisition of Wyndham Vacation Rentals, Vacasa will manage 159 associations around the United States.
Lutterman said: “While Wyndham Vacation Rentals brings a higher volume of associations under management, we will continue to provide exceptional services to our homeowners association boards, and look forward to continued expansion of our footprint in Florida and around the world.”
