Germany: Campervan tour operator CamperDays has announced a series of expansion initiatives for 2025, including entry into the Swiss market, a new partnership with UK-based EasiCampers, and the introduction of GBP pricing options.
The moves come as the company continues its push to increase global reach and streamline its booking experience for UK and international users.
Switzerland, a destination that welcomes up to 20 million international tourists annually, marks the latest addition to CamperDays’ network of more than 33 travel destinations worldwide. The launch is aimed at strengthening CamperDays’ presence across Europe, one of its key target markets.
In the UK, CamperDays has entered into a partnership with family-run rental operator EasiCampers, adding over 100 vehicles to its fleet across ten UK locations. These include Edinburgh and Glasgow in Scotland, as well as Manchester, Heathrow, Liverpool, Wigan, Preston, Blackburn, Wolverhampton and Birmingham in England. The vehicles span seven categories and can accommodate up to six travellers, targeting a wide range of holidaymakers from families to groups of friends.
To support its UK customer base, CamperDays is also rolling out the option for users to book in British pounds. The change aims to provide greater price transparency and remove uncertainties linked to fluctuating exchange rates.
Max Schmidt, managing director at CamperDays, said: “After another successful year for the business, our entry into Switzerland and increased partnerships across existing territories is testament to our mission of providing more choice to customers globally. It also reinforces our ultimate ambition of being the largest and most available campervan tour operator globally.
“Not only that, but we are also seeking new ways to improve the customer experience, and allowing users to book in their local currency allows for even further clarity in our already easy booking process. We hope both business implementations will prove our commitment to the thousands of UK users who visit our platform to book their next road trip.”
Founded in Germany in 2013, CamperDays works with more than 150 partners in over 700 locations globally. The platform offers access to over 35,500 vehicles worldwide, with bookings available in destinations such as the UK, mainland Europe, the United States, Australia, Canada, Chile and South Africa.
All vehicles listed on the site include insurance with excess as standard, and the platform provides a three-step booking system with rentals starting from ÂŁ70 per day. Since its launch, CamperDays has facilitated more than one million nights of campervan bookings.
