Reading Time: 2 minutes

US: Vacation rental management platform StayTerra has promoted Brandy Canaley to vice president of operational excellence and appointed Beth Hushen as vice president of marketing.

Canaley previously served as StayTerra’s head of operational strategy. In her new role, she will work with the company’s regional brands to develop shared systems, support local leadership and improve collaboration across the wider platform.

She has more than a decade of experience across vacation rental operations and commercial strategy. Before joining StayTerra, Canaley spent nine years as chief operating officer and a founding employee of urban STR operator Roami, helping the company grow from four to 820 units across South Florida and New Orleans.

Hushen joins StayTerra from eye care platform EVP EyeCare, where she served as senior vice president of growth and led marketing during six acquisitions.

She previously held the most senior marketing position at Natural Retreats, a luxury vacation rental manager with more than 1,000 properties across 15 destinations.

At StayTerra, Hushen will oversee guest demand generation and marketing activity supporting homeowner acquisition and retention. She will also develop shared marketing resources while maintaining the separate identities of the company’s regional brands.

Amy Kothari, CEO of StayTerra, said: “Brandy understands how to build the systems and culture that enable teams to deliver consistently outstanding hospitality, while Beth brings deep experience driving growth across multi-brand businesses without losing the identity that makes each brand special.”

The appointments form part of StayTerra’s investment in central operational and marketing capabilities as it expands its portfolio of regional vacation rental businesses.

StayTerra appointed Kothari as CEO in August and announced several additional leadership appointments in September. Its portfolio includes Moving Mountains, Vacation Homes of Hilton Head, Cape & Coast, Prime Vacations and Gather Vacations.
