UK: The agenda for the new Short Stay Summit, the European conference for the short-term and holiday rental industry, has been announced.
The event, which is being held on Tuesday 14 September 2021 at Tobacco Dock in London, has been organised by the European Holiday Home Association [EHHA], the UK Short Term Accommodation Association [STAA] and the Vacation Rental Management Association [VRMA], and will be the largest European conference the industry has seen since 2019.
The Short Stay Summit will provide a platform for operators in the UK and Europe to meet for the first time in 18 months. It is a one-day event featuring a vibrant mix of key note speeches from, and fireside chats with, high profile industry leaders, workshops, round tables and plenty of opportunities for networking.
Some of the key topics being discussed will be:

- How to get the right mix of marketing channels
- How tech is powering the future of the short-term rental industry
- How the industry might consolidate… or fragment
- How regulation might impact the industry

The full agenda is now available at the Short Stay Summit website.
There will also be more than 30 sponsors and exhibitors from leading industry suppliers giving delegates their first chance in 18 months to discuss and see new products and services face-to-face.
Trusted Stays is the official accommodation partner offering delegates the chance to book a short-term rental property while visiting the show.
As well as opportunities to network throughout the day at lunch and during breaks between sessions, Marriott Homes & Villas is sponsoring a drinks reception from 6pm which will be an ideal time for delegates to be able to discuss and debate the day’s programme.
The event’s Title sponsor is Vrbo, part of the Expedia Group, the Platinum sponsor is Booking.com, and Gold sponsors are Homes & Villas by Marriott International and Sykes Holiday Cottages. Silver sponsors are Awaze, Rentals United and Beyond.
ShortTermRentalz is the official media partner for the Short Stay Summit, and editor Paul Stevens will be moderating two sessions on the day.
Merilee Karr, chair of the STAA and CEO of UnderTheDoormat, said: “As an industry, we have worked closely to pull together a really fantastic programme that will offer delegates huge opportunities to develop their thinking and to make new contacts. We have much to celebrate in our industry as we emerge from the impacts of the pandemic stronger than ever.
“Everyone I have spoken to that is attending is incredibly excited about this event and can’t wait to meet up,” she added.
Tobacco Dock has been chosen as the venue because its character reflects the modern and entrepreneurial spirit of the industry. It also has sufficient outdoor space and well ventilated areas to ensure that all delegates can comply with Covid-related guidelines.
Tobacco Dock will also be the venue for International Hospitality Media’s [IHM] inaugural Urban Living Festival on 26-27 October 2021.
