US: Scottsdale-based vacation rental management company Casago, which offers vacation rentals, corporate housing and property management in more than 38 cities across the United States and Mexico, has announced that Alex Husner is joining the company as its new chief marketing officer [CMO].
Husner will lead Casago’s East Coast expansion, while growing the visibility and reach of the Casago brand within the global vacation rental industry through strategic branding and marketing initiatives.
Steve Schwab, founder and CEO of Casago, said: “Alex is a highly experienced, well-known and well-liked leader in the vacation rental industry and we’re thrilled to bring her expertise to the Casago team. The Casago brand is well-known in the Western US and Mexico, and we are continuing to grow across the country.
“Alex will lead our strategic expansion plan of our franchise model that provides property management companies with the software, tools and support to compete at a national level while maintaining local ownership,” he added.

Before joining Casago as CMO, Husner served in the same role at Condo-World from 2009, where she grew the company into one of the most recognised vacation rental brands, managing 500 properties in North Myrtle Beach. She also handled sales and marketing for another 5,000 properties across the Southeast.
In 2021, she launched the podcast Alex & Annie: The Real Women of Vacation Rentals, with Annie Holcombe, the current vice president of business development at channel manager Lexicon Travel Technologies. The podcast has grown rapidly, being named in the “Top 30 Hospitality Podcasts” list by the Global Hospitality Institute and ranking in the top ten per cent of all podcast genres globally.
Alex & Annie will be co-hosting the Red Carpet for the premiere of Matt Landau’s Homerunners docuseries, a behind-the-scenes look at the $78.6 billion vacation rental industry and the leaders paving the way for future growth. The world-premiere event takes place on Sunday 23 October during the VRMA [Vacation Rental Managers’ Association] International Conference, being held at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas.
Husner was just recently elected to serve on the VRMA Board of Directors for a two-year term. She also serves as the chair of the board of directors for the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce /CVB.
