Australia: Newcastle-based short-term rental accommodation operator Alloggio [the Italian word for “accommodation”] has extended its national and global reach by announcing a distribution partnership with Homes & Villas by Marriott International [HVMI].
As a result, a collection of 1300 Alloggio holiday rental properties [70 per cent of the group’s overall inventory] will be available on the HVMI platform.
Alloggio founder and CEO, Will Creedon, said the announcement marked a “significant” milestone in the company’s planned growth strategy and improved service offering for property hosts and guests.
He said: “We are very pleased to announce that Alloggio has entered a distribution partnership with Homes & Villas by Marriott International. The partnership super-charges the Alloggio brand, as we ramp up our strategic growth objectives in the best holiday locations along Australia’s eastern seaboard and beyond.
“We are delighted to offer a collection of 1,300 premium short-term rental properties in Australia’s favourite holiday hot spots to Homes & Villas by Marriott International’s millions of loyalty programme members around the world,” added Creedon.
Launched in May 2019, HVMI is a curated premium and luxury home rental offering with thousands of professionally managed private homes in some of the most sought-after destinations around the world. The collection is backed by leading global hospitality company, Marriott International, which also encompasses thousands of hotels across 30 brands.
It is also the only home rental offering that is part of the Marriott Bonvoy travel loyalty programme, enabling millions of members to earn and redeem points for home rental and hotel bookings, hotel upgrades, VIP experiences and more.
HVMI works specifically with carefully vetted property management companies, including Alloggio, to ensure that every home listed is professionally managed and meets the high standards expected of Marriott International.
Founded in 2015, Alloggio Group features two business divisions – holiday property management and mid-market hotels – that use a proprietary in-house technology platform, providing an end-to-end solution for travellers, holiday property owners and managers.
The group’s portfolio of properties are located in popular tourism destinations across Australia, including Magnetic Island, Noosa, Coolum, Brisbane, Coffs Harbour, Maitland, Port Stephens, Newcastle, Bathurst, Bega, Jervis Bay, Mollymook / Milton, Mornington Peninsula and the Great Ocean Road.
Since raising $16.5 million while going public via an initial public offering [IPO] last November, Alloggio is continuing to expand its portfolio across Australia, including acquiring North Queensland-based property management business Best of Magnetic in February and investing $16 million in acquisitions in holiday hotspots as part of a comprehensive six-month expansion programme.
