August launches three new co-ownership collections

UK: Co-ownership holiday home company August, which claims to be the first of its kind in Europe, has announced the addition of new properties to its co-ownership platform.

Offering a modern way to buy and own holiday homes, the launch of August’s first Premium Collection comes after selling out its Signature and City homes collections in 2021, in destinations including the French Riviera, Cotswolds, Mallorca and the French Alps.

Since its inception in 2019, August has sought to revolutionise the way holiday homes are owned throughout Europe by purchasing, renovating, designing, maintaining and managing homes for co-owners.

The platform offers families from around the world the opportunity to own a 1/21 share of five holiday homes rather than just one, representing a more convenient and cost-effective way to invest in a holiday home experience.

August allows buyers access to a collection of design-driven properties, situated in carefully selected and coveted holiday destinations, for a fraction of the cost of second home ownership. Buying into a collection of five properties with a one-time fee begins at £175,000 [$250,000].

August’s latest collections include:

  • Premium Collection – The collection offers villas, farmhouses and a four- to five-bedroom chalet in locations such as  In the French Riviera, The French Alps, The Cotswolds, Mallorca and Tuscany. The starting price for the collection is €590,000, and maintenance fees of €1,100 per month.
  • City Collection consists of apartments and villas in five of Europe’s most desirable destinations – Cannes, Chamonix, Barcelona, Mallorca and Tuscany. Each property in the City Collection features two to three bedrooms, accommodating four to six guests. Pricing begins at €210,000, and maintenance fees of €450 per month.
  • Signature Collection includes homes in the same sought-after destinations as the Premium collection. The collection offers homes with three to four bedrooms, accommodating six to eight guests. Pricing begins at €355,000, and maintenance fees of €750 per month.

All homes in the current collections will be available for occupancy in 2022.

August is on track to acquire over €50 million of real estate in 2022, with expansion already taking place in Barcelona, Marbella and Paris, in addition to new markets such as the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and more geographic regions of France.
