Avari officially launches with 5,500 former Vacasa homes

US: Vacation rental management company Avari has officially launched with more than 5,500 homes across 24 markets previously operated by Vacasa.

The company was formed in late 2025 after acquiring the management rights to the former Vacasa markets and assumed responsibility for the portfolio earlier this year.

Avari operates as an independently managed Casago franchisee and is backed by private equity firm Trive Capital. Its launch follows Casago’s sale of Vacasa’s former markets to local franchise owners and other ownership groups after completing its acquisition of the company in May 2025.

The new operator has more than 700 employees, including local teams that previously managed the properties under Vacasa. Its portfolio spans destinations in Florida, Alabama, Utah, California, Oregon, Nevada and Washington.

Avari has also expanded into Moab and Heber City in Utah and the San Juan Islands in Washington as part of its official launch.

The business is led by co-chief executives Brandon Labrum and Seth Williams, alongside president and chief operating officer Ashley Horsley.

Horsley previously served as CEO of Florida vacation rental manager 360Blue before co-founding tourism data company Key Data, where she was president and chief commercial officer.

Avari said it had increased the number of revenue managers relative to the size of its portfolio sixfold since assuming management. Its locally based specialists will assess factors including booking pace and events alongside automated pricing systems.

The company is also seeking to standardise elements of the guest experience across its portfolio, including essential amenities, locally produced destination guides and simplified checkout procedures.

Further services under consideration include pet supplies and equipment for families, such as cribs and car seats. Avari also plans to introduce a guest loyalty programme later in 2026.

Horsley said: “We believe vacation rentals should deliver hospitality, not simply access to a home, and help travellers truly experience the destinations where they’re staying.”
