City Relay appoints Berry as head of B2B
London: Property management company City Relay has announced the appointment of Erskine Berry as head of B2B.
The appointment of Berry reflects the strength of City Relay’s B2B offering as the company continues to enhance its status as a key player in the London short-term lettings market.
Berry is a highly experienced operations director with a track record of building teams and businesses across the hospitality industry, including start-ups.
Prior to joining City Relay, Erskine was general manager at Under The Doormat, where he increased sales growth fivefold by overseeing service delivery, client relations, strategic planning and recruitment. He has also held senior positions at Capital Attraction Partners, an entertainment investment business, and Altitude London, a group of venues providing events and hospitality in central London.
City Relay puts an emphasis on operational efficiency, offering ‘white labelled’ property management services to hospitality clients that include housekeeping, fresh pressed linen, the provision of luxury amenities, property maintenance and check-ins. These are all designed to ensure every guest has a seamless hotel-like guest experience.
The firm’s commitment to a two hour response time or less for all maintenance requests, highlights that London-based short-term rental companies no longer have to rely on different contractors to deliver operational support, instead City Relay aims to provide a one-stop shop that fully integrates with clients’ brands and business objectives.
Founded in 2015 by property investment entrepreneur Maxime Leufroy-Murat, City Relay makes no secret of its knowledge of the London marketplace. The company recently received substantial investment funding which will drive its expansion and presence across London.
Furthermore, the firm will open a number of reception spaces across the capital, allowing the team to provide face-to-face advice and guidance to residential property owners and guests.
The new head of B2B, Erskine Berry, said: “I am delighted to join City Relay as head of B2B and am looking forward to continue driving forward the operational side of the business. The company’s approach to short-let property management in London is unique and their B2B operations are growing at pace as more and more businesses realise the opportunities offered by City Relay’s tailored and integrated operational support.”
Maxime Leufroy-Murat, founder and chief executive of City Relay, said: “The appointment of Erskine Berry is further evidence of City Relay’s commitment to providing the highest quality operational support to clients and I am more than confident in his ability to spearhead our B2B operations going forward.
“Erskine’s wide-ranging experience in the hospitality industry and his appointment is a real statement of intent for City Relay as we continue to grow our presence in the London market,” he added.
