US: Vacation rental property management software provider Escapia has partnered with travel insurance platform Faye to enable property managers to offer travel protection to guests.
Through the partnership, Escapia customers can add a unique Faye link to automated guest communications and marketing materials. Property managers will receive compensation when a guest purchases a protection plan through the link.
Faye’s policies provide whole-trip protection, including cover for eligible non-refundable accommodation costs when guests cancel for a covered reason. The company also handles traveller assistance and claims through a 24-hour customer support service.
The partnership is intended to create an ancillary revenue opportunity for property managers while reducing the administrative burden associated with cancellations, refunds and travel disruptions.
Joel Schoen, general manager at Escapia, said: “With Faye, property managers can add a new revenue opportunity to every booking and give guests protection for their entire trip.”
Faye is now available through the Escapia integrations marketplace.
The agreement follows Faye’s recent partnership with Guesty, through which Guesty customers can also include travel protection links within their automated communications.
Escapia, which is backed by Expedia Group, provides reservation management, trust accounting, pricing, distribution and guest communication tools for professional vacation rental managers.
