GuestReady hires Ritella as country manager for Spain

Spain: Short- and mid-term rental management company, GuestReady, has hired Lorenzo Ritella as Spain’s country manager to lead its ambitious growth plans on the ground of increasing the local business volume and growing the Spanish portfolio of rentals under management.

With over a decade of experience in the Spanish proptech sector, Ritella will add to GuestReady’s extensive international experience of managing over 4,400 properties in seven countries.

Ritella said: “I am very excited to be a part of GuestReady. The timing has aligned with the short-term rental sector starting its second life.

“Last year in Spain [2022], 67 per cent of all rentals that left the market during the pandemic have now returned, and the predictions for 2023 are showing exponential growth,” he added.

As GuestReady entered the Spanish market in 2022, the country welcomed over 80 million tourists and the company began to offer its management services for short-term rental units, reaching its first growth goals before the year was over.

For 2023, GuestReady has set the objective to manage more than 200 properties, representing a portfolio growth between 400 and 600 per cent. The company’s full management services are accompanied with a multilingual international team available 24/7, intelligent price setting tools, and complete integration with multiple platforms, allowing the owners to increase their income by up to 150 per cent.

With over a decade of experience in the tourism and real estate businesses, Ritella co-founded short-term rental comparative tool Apartum in 2012, where he served as chief marketing officer and chief commercial officer. Prior to that, he created digital real estate agency Propertista, where he set the precedent for a new buy / sell concept in the Spanish real estate market.

Andreea Petrisor, chief growth officer at GuestReady, said: “With an extensive entrepreneurial background after having co-founded two proptech companies, Lorenzo has a proven track record of successfully understanding the Spanish market and we are delighted to having him onboard and to lead our ambitious plans for GuestReady Spain.”

Alexander Limpert, co-founder and CEO of GuestReady, said: “Lorenzo’s experience in innovation and growth, both in the traditional housing market and in the short-term rental industry in Spain, makes him the perfect person to take lead in scaling our Spanish operations.”

Founded in 2016, GuestReady manages short-term rentals in Spain, Portugal, the UK, France, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates [UAE] and Saudi Arabia, with an international team of more than 300 people and 48 different nationalities.
