Guesty appoints chief evangelist and expands US presence

Israel / US: All-in-one hospitality operations platform Guesty has announced the appointment of David Angotti as its chief evangelist.

In a press release, Guesty said that he would bring “a unique perspective and a wealth of knowledge” to his new role, due to “an unparalleled depth of experience in the vacation rental industry”.

Angotti joined Guesty after the company’sย acquisition of StaySenseย in May, although Angotti’s journey in the vacation rental market began in 2009. He has not only managed properties himself but also founded a property management company, overseeing the management of nearly 150 homes in just over two years, giving him firsthand experience and intimate understanding of the time constraints and operational challenges that property managers face.

As chief evangelist, Angotti will serve as the “enthusiastic face” of Guesty, bringing a deep understanding of the industry’s pain points, connecting with property managers and lending his expertise and insight to team members, industry partners and hospitality businesses alike.

Angotti said: “This empathy is a key part of what helps us build great, innovative products that solve real challenges hospitality businesses face.

“Having been deeply immersed in every facet of this industry, I understand the needs and aspirations of property managers. My mission is clear: to ensure that every property manager considering a solution like Guesty feels supported, understood, and heard, so that they can be well-informed and confident in their choice,” he added.

In addition to the new role, Guesty has shared the official opening of its Nashville headquarters. The decision to establish the strategically positioned hub reflects the company’s commitment to accessibility and convenience for its growing customer base.

Amiad Soto, co-founder and CEO of Guesty, said: “We’re excited for Davidโ€™s growth and new role on the Guesty team. His wealth of experience and passion for the vacation rental industry align perfectly with our vision for the future.

“David’s role as chief evangelist is instrumental in ensuring that property managers in the United States recognise Guesty as the go-to solution for their needs,” he added.

With a suite of features and 150+ industry partners, including OTAs such as Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, Tripadvisor, Expedia, Hopper, Google Travel and Home & Villas by Marriott International, Guesty is aiming to transform the hospitality industry with innovative solutions. The company now has 15 offices and more than 700 team members across the world.

Last year, Guesty closed the acquisition of three companies [Kigo, HiRUM and YieldPlanet], following a $170 million Series E funding round in August 2022.
