Harris joins IHM as head of research

UK: International Hospitality Media, the publisher of ShortTermRentalz, has appointed Mark Harris as head of research.

A 30-year travel industry veteran, Harris will combine the newly created role with being owner and director of content marketing consultancy Travel Intelligence Network [TIN]. A specialist in the corporate and extended stay market, Harris is known for multi award-winning projects including the Global Serviced Apartment Industry Report [GSAIR] and for hosting industry events including the Serviced Apartment Awards.

He has produced more than 80 white papers during his career, most recently collaborating with Serviced Apartment News and Wyndham, Hotels & Resorts for a paper on the economy extended stay sector.

A former marketing director of two TMCs and head of marketing at ITM, Harris has also been voted business travel industry Personality of the Year. In his spare time, he is chairman of the Northern Premier Football League and an FA councillor.
