Germany: Vacation rental marketplace HomeToGo has announced its partnership with travel experiences online marketplace GetYourGuide to offer travellers seamless access to unique, in-demand experiences as part of the vacation rental booking process.
As a result, GetYourGuide experiences will now be integrated into the post-booking journey for HomeToGo users across all markets.
Within the booking details page and the post-booking email for a HomeToGo reservation, travellers will now see a selection of the top attractions, tours and things to do in their destination of choice. The new element enables travellers to discover GetYourGuide’s experiences effortlessly, inspiring HomeToGo guests with exciting activities while further simplifying the entire travel planning process.
The partnership builds on HomeToGo’s mission since its founding in 2014 to make “incredible” homes easily accessible to everyone. Over the last nine years, the company has built a marketplace for vacation rentals that connects millions of travellers searching for a perfect place to stay with thousands of inventory suppliers across the globe, resulting in what it says is “the world’s most comprehensive inventory coverage in the alternative accommodation space”.
Today, GetYourGuide offers more than 118,000 activities around the world from over 18,000 experience creators. Since launch, the Berlin-headquartered company has enabled travellers from 150+ countries to book more than 120 million tours, activities and attraction tickets through its platform.
Activities range from guided tours by local experts to culinary excursions, cooking and craft classes, skip-the-line tickets, as well as exclusive bucket-list experiences.
Meanwhile, HomeToGo, which operates localised apps and websites in 25 countries, launched its AI mode ‘Modes’ in July. Modes is described as a “revolutionary new way to find vacation rentals and travel destinations”, with its inaugural AI Mode now available in beta to US and UK users.
