InHouse launches Frontdesk digital guidebook

US: InHouse, a marketplace for short-term rental hosts, has announced the launch of Frontdesk, an all-in-one digital guidebook that aims to transform the on-stay guest experience. 

With its intuitive guidebook builder and integrated upsell engine, Frontdesk is designed to equip hosts with hospitality-grade tools that were previously accessible only to hotels and enterprise operators. Frontdesk is available to all verified short-term rental hosts at a disruptive price point: free.

Frontdesk’s customisable guidebook has been created to make it easy for hosts to spotlight experiences and local offerings that are key to memorable stays.

Adding check-in instructions, neighbourhood recommendations and essential property info is possible with a drag-and-drop builder that is intuitive – including for hosts with no technical expertise. Hosts can share Frontdesk using a unique link, or set up a custom QR code display, which InHouse also offers at no cost.

Frontdesk’s most innovative feature is an integrated upsell engine, which enables hosts to offer bespoke guest experiences that unlock new revenue streams. Late checkouts, on-stay spa services and guided neighbourhood food tours are just a few of the “thousands” of upsells that hosts can instantly add to boost their property’s profit potential.

In “minutes”, hosts can also create a customised minibar with local products tailored to their property and location.

Schafler continued: “Guests are expecting more and more from their Airbnb stays. Frontdesk’s on-stay commerce tools empower hosts to go above and beyond to delight guests, while tapping into new earnings opportunities.”

Early results from the Frontdesk pilot program have been promising: over 70 per cent of participating hosts saw an earnings lift within the first month of activating their guidebooks. One standout saw a Los Angeles-based host make over $400 in a single weekend selling airport pickups, Hollywood entertainment tours and a movie night package in their host store.

With Frontdesk rolling out across the United States, InHouse will support short-term rental properties nationwide, elevating guest experience and materially increasing earning potential for hosts that take advantage of the platform’s capabilities.
