Latin Exclusive forms partnership with Marriott International

Brazil / Colombia: Luxury vacation rental agency Latin Exclusive has become one of Homes & Villas by Marriott International’s first partners in South America for the management of high-end rental properties.

More than 300 luxury properties managed by Latin Exclusive in Brazil and Colombia will now also be listed on the Homes & Villas platform, and the company plans to continue building out its portfolio.

Founded in 2006, the agency lists its properties for sale, and for short- or long-term rental. It also offers bespoke concierge services, such as private chefs, exclusive transport [helicopter, private jets and yachts], wellness and fitness treatments [personal trainers and massage therapists], and sightseeing excursions.

Homes & Villas was launched by Marriott International two years ago, and offers a selection of prestigious upscale homes that are administered exclusively by a number of hand-picked property management companies. Its homes are located in more than 500 destinations around the world, including in the USA, Canada, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, Central America, the Caribbean, and Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Uruguay in South America.

Each selected home on the Homes & Villas platform is professionally managed to meet high standards of design, cleanliness, safety and convenience. Each stay includes 24/7 assistance, professional cleaning, high-speed wifi, fully equipped kitchens, premium bedding, towels and amenities, laundry and children’s items upon request.

Furthermore, the home rental company is part of Marriott Bonvoy, the loyalty programme launched by Marriott International, which allows more than 157 million members to earn and redeem points for their bookings.

Two months ago, Marriott introduced a pilot offer whereby guests booking rentals on Homes & Villas could also experience amenities at nearby Marriott Bonvoy hotels. The offer is available across three destinations – Monterey, California, USA; London, UK; and Punta Mita, Mexico – and will run until 31 December.

Latin Exclusive CEO Arnaud Bughon said: “This partnership in property management opens the doors for us to bring even more innovations to the market. It will bear much fruit for both companies, as Latin Exclusive has more than 15 years of experience in luxury property rentals and Marriott is a trusted name in hospitality, with more than 90 years of experience.

“The exchange of experiences, the evolution and improvement of what we provide to our customers are certain,” he added.

STRz recently interviewed Chris Stephenson, vice president of international markets at Homes and Villas by Marriott International, on its podcast about the progress that Homes & Villas has made since launching in 2019, what we can expect from Marriott’s new pilot programme for rentals and hotels, and how travellers’ perception is evolving since the onset of the pandemic.
