Lavanda and UPP partner for university short stays this summer

UK: Proptech firm Lavanda has partnered with student accommodation specialist UPP to offer summer short-stay solutions to 15 universities across the UK.

The partnership will initially operate in Nottingham and Swansea and will help UPP’s partners to offer short stays across 816 units. It will allow UPP to run flexible rental and short-stay programmes during the summer months, complementing existing programmes such as summer schools, conferences and events.

Using Lavanda’s technology platform, UPP will be able to manage reservations, automate check-ins and check-outs, and streamline operations.

Lavanda CEO Fred Lerche-Lerchenborg said: “We are thrilled to work with UPP and provide an enhanced short-stay experience for their university partners. Our technology platform will enable UPP to streamline operations and provide a world-class guest experience, ensuring that guests have a memorable stay.”

Lavanda enables residential real estate institutions to reconstruct the customer experience and optimise business performance with flexible renting. The company’s customers include Greystar, Blackstone, Starwood Capital and JLL amongst others.

UPP is a provider of on-campus residential and academic accommodation infrastructure in the UK. The company has 35,000 rooms in operation through long-term, bespoke partnerships with 15 universities.
