Italy: Tech-enabled independent operator Líbere Hospitality Group has opened its first property in Italy, an 18-room complex for short- and medium-term stays in the San Lorenzo neighborhood.

Owned by Fincap SRL, Líbere Rome San Lorenzo kept the facade of the original building while renovating the interior for business travellers and tourists.

This is LHG’s second investment in Italy, after Milan’s Naitly Milano Dergano. Its expansion into Rome aligns with their goal to operate in major European capitals, adding the Italian capital to a lineup including London, Madrid, Athens and Lisbon.

Strengthening LHG’s strategic commitment to the Italian market, Líbere Rome San Lorenzo brings the company’s portfolio to more than 1,000 operating units and 2,300 units overall.

“Rome is a key market for any operator with European ambitions,” LHG co-CEO Antón de la Rica said. “This opening marks the start of our operations in the Italian capital and strengthens a presence we were already building in cities such as Milan.”

Highlights:

  • Madrid’s Líbere Hospitality Group has expanded into Rome, marking its first property in the Italian capital and a key step in its European capital city expansion strategy.
  • The design and offering specifically cater to both business travelers and tourists seeking short- to medium-term stays.
  • Following an earlier investment in Milan, this move strengthens LHG’s strategic commitment to the Italian market.
