Maison Privee signs $100m villa portfolio on Palm Jumeirah

Dubai: Technology firm and vacation rental provider for the luxury hospitality sector, Maison Privee, has signed a deal to manage a portfolio of luxury signature villas on Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, valued at over US$100m.

The deal maintains the companyโ€™s rapid expansion, having acquired the portfolio through a preferred partner relationship with the region’s top luxury real estate firm Gulf Sothebyโ€™s International Realty and its exclusive clientele. The partnership strengthens Maison Priveeโ€™s position as a largest short-term rental operator on the Palm and delivers on its aspiration to be the largest operator of luxury properties in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Maison Privee co-founder and managing director, Paul Mallee, said: โ€œOur focus is on growing our portfolio of luxury and unique properties whilst ensuring that our guest experience continues to โ€˜wowโ€™ at every touch point.โ€

The company believes it brings an innovative approach to luxury short-term rental accommodation experiences by โ€œcombining the service and convenience of a premium hotel with the privacy and comfort of a homeโ€™, according to Mallee and fellow co-founder and managing director, Rami Shamaa.

Since its announcement of $4 million Series A funding one year ago, Maison Privee has continued to invest heavily in building the right team and infrastructure to support accelerated growth in its portfolio and its ability to serve its guests.

Shamaa said: โ€œImplementation of a very strong hotel-like corporate structure, IT stack and unique operating model has been fundamental to positioning us for such growth.

โ€œWith the right structures in place, Maison Privee has the ability to expand its portfolio both in Dubai and internationally and is actively exploring expansion through acquisition or partnership,โ€ he added.

In addition, the company has been recognised once more by its peers, illustrated by its recent shortlisting at the Gulf Capital SME Awards 2019.

The prestigious awards see Maison Privee shortlisted for the ‘Disruption of the Year’ category and the ‘Customer Focus of the Year’ category, alongside Mallee and Shamaa being named as finalists for ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’.

Mallee said: โ€œThis hat-trick shortlisting is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire Maison Privee Team.โ€
