Atlanta: The NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People) and Airbnb are set to announce the fourth regional launch of its national hosts partnership.
In 2017, the two organisations partnered to launch a programme that aimed to expand their outreach to communities of colour in order to support more people so that they could use their homes to earn extra income.
Metro Atlanta and Georgia is the first partnership of 2019 and part of Airbnb and the NAACP’s joint efforts to continue to ensure that the overall benefits of home-sharing reach all communities in the United States.
Airbnb’s accommodation marketplace now provides access to over five million places to stay in more than 81,000 cities and 191 countries. With Experiences, Airbnb invites travellers to go to local communities and take part in 15,000 unique, handcrafted activities run by hosts across 1,000+ markets worldwide.
The NAACP, which was established in 1909, is the oldest and largest non-partisan civil rights organisation in the United States.
