NWVRP launches regional listing site CaliStays to encourage direct bookings

US: The Northwest Vacation Rental Professionals (NWVRP) has announced the launch of a new regional listing site, which will be called CaliStays.com.

The objective behind the decision to launch the website was to promote direct bookings for vacation rental properties in Canada and the United States. However, the site will also ensure that there is consistent, direct communication between property managers and booking guests and is not applying any extra traveller fees on top.

In a press release, NWVRP president Dan Eby said: “This effort puts the independent manager back in the driver’s seat in the promotion of their local properties, thereby providing the best experiences and places to stay for west coast travellers.”

The CaliStays site will restrict those listings properties on the marketplace to NWVRP members only and it will cost $66 per property per year.

Marketing automation software provider Fetch My Guest collaborated with the NWVRP to help put the new listing site together.

Speaking to VRM Intel, Fetch My Guest CEO Vince Perez said: “We are not surprised by the growth of the NWVRP membership and the addition of CaliStays.com. California is a marquee vacation rental destination for outdoor activities, from our sunny beaches to our beautiful mountains.

“We expect to see the growth of these marketplaces a continuing theme in 2019 as vacation rental professionals and the travellers who support us continue the #BookDirect revolution,” he added.
