RedAwning appoints Josh Baird as its chief financial officer

US: RedAwning Group has announced the appointment of Josh Baird as its chief financial officer, replacing the retiring John Wade.

Baird will be leading RedAwning’s financial planning, corporate development and strategy, asset management, accounting, investor relations, tax and treasury functions.

He was formerly vice president of asset management at private equity real estate platform KHP Capital Partners, where he managed a portfolio of hotel real estate assets. Baird also held the same position at the award-winning Kimpton Hotels and Restaurant chain.

His appointment coincides with the expansion of RedAwning’s divisions including Blizzard Internet Marketing, Leavetown Vacations and Jetstream Technology for hotels and resorts, as well as the growth of RedAwning’s portfolio of European clients and services.

Baird takes over from Wade, RedAwning CFO since 2010, who is retiring.

RedAwning CEO Tim Choate said: “We are thrilled to welcome Josh to RedAwning. Josh’s extensive experience in revenue and financial management, as well as hotel real estate and asset management will be invaluable as we expand our distribution, marketing and reservation services for vacation properties in The Americas and Europe.

“We look forward to his help solidifying our growth and stability worldwide as we head towards our first billion dollars in bookings,” he added.

Baird said: “I cannot imagine a more exciting time to join RedAwning because it is a special company that has positioned itself as a leader in the vacation rental industry. Tim and the leadership team are changing the landscape of the industry and I’m delighted to be a part of it.”

Baird is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University where he holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.
