London: Short-term rental platform providers and operators are being advised to enter a rental category at International Hospitality Media’s annual Serviced Apartment Awards in March.
The Serviced Apartment Awards, now in their fourth edition, are the only awards created for and by the serviced apartment, aparthotel, extended stay and short-term rental industry. In addition, the awards recognise excellence at individual, team and corporate level.
The glittering awards ceremony for 2019 takes place on Thursday 14 March at a new venue, at Park Plaza Riverbank, London.
Entries are still available for the short-term rental platform / operator category until 31 January to any short-term rental platform who distributes serviced apartment inventory. When all of the entries are confirmed, a panel of expert judges in the hospitality industry will vote on who they believe should win the category overall.
The judging criteria for the short-term rental category is as follows:
1. Evidence of innovation – new products/services
2. Relevance of services to target audiences
3. Evidence of driving serviced apartment adoption
4. Demonstrating a clear understanding of customers’ needs
5. Case studies showing operator/platform’s impact on customers
The winners in the same category last year were Lavanda while in 2017, Hostmaker was named as the “best short-term rental platform / operator”.
Over 400 serviced apartment operators, bookers, serviced providers and individuals will be present for an evening of celebrations. There will be 16 category award winners named on the night itself and guests will be treated to a three-course dinner with drinks and evening entertainment.
Social media users can also engage in the Twitter conservation at #SAAwards, while highlights videos of last year’s event can be found at www.servicedapartmentawards.com/about
Anyone looking to enter their rental platform or operator into the short-term rental category at this year’s Serviced Apartment Awards can book their tickets via the Eventbrite site at www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/serviced-apartment-awards-2019-tickets
Should tickets sell out as expected in advance of the big night, a waiting list will be operating on a first come, first served basis.
