Canada: A new vacation rental property management company, Stay Revy, has launched in Revelstoke, British Columbia, despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Emily Revell, who founded the company, told local news website Revelstoke Review that Stay Revy was borne out of a passion project after gaining experience in the hospitality industry. She added that she had begun working on the project full-time just as the pandemic was being declared back in March.
On the launch of Stay Revy, Revell told the online publication: “Homeowners in Revelstoke need vacation property management more than ever, as many of these homeowners live out of province or out of country and therefore rely on my services.
“I am excited to safely meet with owners and start getting the conversation rolling on how I can best manage their properties to maximise revenue and provide an unparallelled guest experience,” she added.
Revell believes that Stay Revy is capable of meeting the demand for vacation rental accommodation, which is on the rise according to short-term rental data provider AirDNA, as the occupancy rate for rentals in Revelstoke between 3-10 August stabilised at 64 per cent.
Given the timing of the pandemic, Stay Revy has developed a web-based app to provide instant updates on properties, including information about check-ins and check-outs, and employed professional cleaning services to provide sanitisation between stays.
