TravelNest hires Cameron Boal as VP marketing

Scotland: Edinburgh-based short-term lets startup TravelNest has appointed Cameron Boal as its latest vice president (VP) of marketing.

Boal previously held the position of SVP marketing at online fantasy sports firm FanDuel from 2010 until last year. Following that, he was the CMO at New York-based e-Sports startup company, Players’ Lounge.

In the new role, Boal will be tasked with driving growth for TravelNest as it looks to assert itself as a key disruptor in the holiday lets market.

The appointment follows that of Rebecca Moore as VP of Operations at the company in May. Moore, who was formerly a senior director of growth in Europe and the Americas at Skyscanner, joined an executive leadership team headed up by CEO and founder, Doug Stephenson.

TravelNest was founded back in 2014 by Stephenson after recognising the challenges of renting cottages and lodges on family breaks. It now seeks to boost hosts’ revenue by helping them to better market their lets on the lettings platform and on social media effectively.
