UK: According to luxury property management company Veeve Wimbledon generated a 30% increase in bookings for London short-term rentals during last year’s Championships, as international visitors continued to favour professionally managed homes over traditional hotels.

The company said 612 nights were booked across its portfolio during the 2025 tournament, representing a 30% increase compared with the previous fortnight.

Average daily rates also rose by 23% over the same period, reaching ÂŁ433 per night.

According to Veeve, one homeowner generated more than ÂŁ7,300 in additional income during the tournament after hosting two families travelling from the US and Iceland while they were away.

The platform said demand was strongest across south-west London, including Wimbledon, Richmond, Chelsea, Kensington, Fulham and Wandsworth, with tennis fans, corporate travellers, media representatives and international visitors contributing to higher occupancy.

Merilee Karr, CEO of UnderTheDoormat Group and Veeve, said: “Wimbledon remains one of London’s most important seasonal demand drivers for premium short-term accommodation.

“Every year, we see homeowners recognising the opportunity to generate additional income from their properties during the Championships, while guests increasingly seek professionally managed homes that offer more space, privacy and flexibility than traditional hotel stays.”

Veeve said the data also reflects growing demand for professionally managed short-term rentals as homeowners outsource guest services, revenue management and property operations to specialist operators.

The company added that major international events continue to create seasonal pricing and occupancy opportunities for London’s premium short-term rental market.
