US: Sojourn LLC, the short-term rental (STR) company, has acquired Salt Coast Hosts, expanding its reach to Outer Banks, North Carolina.Â
Salt Coast Hosts is a family-owned STR company, providing vacation rental properties to guests visiting the Outer Banks.Â
The acquisition of Salt Coast Hosts will expand Sojourn’s footprint into Outer Banks, a previously untapped market for the company.
The company will partner with the Anies family, owner of Salt Coast Hosts, through a newly created entity, Sojourn Realty OBX, to maintain the same level of hospitality for future guests.
By merging with Salt Coast, the company will gain local insight and a portfolio of handpicked homes. Sojourn claimed Salt Coast Hosts was a “natural fit” to acquire, since both companies share “similar core values: unwavering service, deep local ties and a stewardship mindset.”Â
Dunniela Kaufman, co-founder and CEO of Sojourn, said: “This partnership is about more than growth – it’s about resonance. Salt Coast brings a legacy of trust and care that perfectly complements Sojourn’s approach. Sojourn is not looking at growth for growth’s sake. We are thoughtfully expanding by looking for partnerships that reinforce our values and brand.”Â
