US: Camping marketplace Hipcamp has formed a new partnership with Sun Outdoors, adding 100 RV resorts including more than 20 Jellystone Parks to its US inventory.
Hipcamp has announced a strategic partnership with Sun Outdoors that will bring 100 of the operator’s RV resorts and campgrounds to the Hipcamp platform. The agreement expands Hipcamp’s offering of amenity-rich stays across the United States, including RV sites, vacation rentals, glamping options and family-focused destinations.
The parks added to the platform include more than 20 Jellystone Parks, known for their themed attractions and children’s activities. Hipcamp said the collaboration aligns with growing demand for more comfortable and well-equipped outdoor experiences.
According to Hipcamp, active campers in the United States have increased by 68 per cent over the past decade, with an additional 21.6 million households taking up camping. The company reported a 20 per cent rise in searches for amenity-led campsites this summer, alongside a 60 per cent year-on-year increase in searches for wifi-equipped sites.
Alyssa Ravasio, founder and CEO of Hipcamp, said: “This partnership makes it even easier for campers to get outside while enjoying some of the perks of modern life, whether that’s a lakeside RV site with a water park or a family-friendly campground with all the comforts of home.”
Ed Pogasic, vice president of revenue management at Sun Outdoors, said: “This collaboration broadens access to outdoor experiences, allowing guests to enjoy time outside in ways that best match their interests and comfort level.”
In May, Hipcamp doubled its US inventory to more than 500,000 campsites, following an expansion that made it the first app to unify national park sites, commercial campgrounds, private land listings and farm-based stays in one marketplace. Last year, the company also acquired BookOutdoors, a booking platform for RV parks, cabins and glamping resorts.
