Germany: Dutch private equity firm 819 Capital Partners has acquired camper rental comparison platform CamperDays for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition completed in September 2026 and will support the Cologne-based company’s international expansion.
As part of the transaction, Maximilian Schmidt has become chief executive officer and sole managing director of CamperDays with immediate effect.
Raphael Meese has stepped down from the management team following the completion of the deal and will pursue other opportunities.
CamperDays connects travellers with professional campervan and motorhome rental companies. Its platform provides access to more than 40,000 vehicles across over 1,000 locations in more than 35 countries.
The company reported average annual revenue growth of 21 per cent between 2022 and 2025, while its booking volume in 2025 was almost double the level recorded in 2019.
CamperDays said the acquisition would not affect its day-to-day operations.
Schmidt said: “For our customers and partners, CamperDays will remain the reliable point of contact they know and trust. We are committed to continuity in our day-to-day business while at the same time leveraging the new opportunities to continuously enhance our offering and services step by step.”
Founded in Germany in 2013, CamperDays has expanded its network through new markets and rental partnerships. In 2025, the company launched in Switzerland and added UK campervan provider EasiCampers to its platform.
819 Capital Partners invests across sectors including leisure, technology and healthcare. The firm said it takes an active ownership approach focused on organic growth, international expansion and strategic acquisitions.
