EU: Airbnb is offering six people the opportunity to win a 19 day trip across Europe, travelling by train through five countries.
Due to the popularity of train travel in Europe, Airbnb has collaborated with Interrail to offer six travellers the chance to explore five countries. The trip, named the Airbnb Heritage Tour, spans 19 days and the winners are able to visit some of Airbnb’s new “Historic Homes” properties.
Earlier this year, Airbnb introduced a host of new features and capabilities across its platform. One of these is the Categories feature, allowing users to browse places to stay based on 56 predetermined categories.
The Historic Homes category has roughly 20,000 traditional venues located throughout the UK, France, Spain, Italy, and Germany.
As part of the adventure, winners will visit a chateau in France, a 400-year-old villa in Tuscany, and a 19th-century mansion in England.
Airbnb’s regional director Emmanuel Marill said: “We are excited to be offering this epic adventure which celebrates the golden age of 19th-century travel when there was more time to appreciate adventures with friends and family for longer… By combining the very best of train travel with the best of heritage in Europe, we hope travellers will reconnect with history and culture and enjoy travel as it once was.”
Applications for the competition must be submitted by 20 July 2022 at 11:59pm CET. Entrants must create an Airbnb account and select five friends (aged 18+) to join the trip. An application form must then be completed.
