AutoCamp appoints DiFalco as COO

US: Alternative lodging and outdoor hospitality brand, AutoCamp Hospitality Group, has announced the appointment of David DiFalco as its new chief operating officer [COO].

In the new role, DiFalco will be responsible for overseeing openings, operations, food and beverage, retail, capital expenditures, revenue management, and sales for the group’s hospitality brands, AutoCamp and subsidiary brand Field Station.

With 24 years of experience in the hospitality industry, DiFalco began his career with Marriott International, where he gained  industry knowledge holding several positions such as event manager, director of food & beverage, and general manager.

Over the past six years, he has served as the vice president of operations for Stonebridge Companies, chief operating officer of Under Canvas, and most recently the regional vice president of operations for Great Wolf Resorts, where he oversaw a $500 million dollar portfolio.

DiFalco said: “I’m thrilled to embark on a transformative journey with AutoCamp as the new COO. Being on the cutting edge of the outdoor adventure space, the company brings new and engaging programming to the industry, and I look forward to contributing my knowledge, experience, and leadership to fuel its continued growth.

“I can’t wait to play a part in redefining the future of outdoor hospitality and creating unforgettable moments for our guests,” he added.

Founded in 2013, AutoCamp Hospitality Group is a collection of properties located in iconic outdoor destinations across the United States, including Sonoma, Yosemite National Park, Cape Cod, Joshua Tree and Zion National Park, with more to follow in Asheville, Sequoia National Park and Hill Country.

AutoCamp is seeking to “revolutionise” alternative lodging by blending the spirit of the nostalgic camping experience with the service and design of a boutique hotel. As the exclusive hospitality partner of US caravan brand Airstream, AutoCamp offers premium Airstreams as well as additional accommodations ranging from spacious cabins and petite home-inspired suites to luxury tents.

Field Station, a division of AutoCamp Hospitality Group, renovates and up-cycles old lodges and motels in prime outdoor destinations to create basecamps for exploring nearby natural areas. Its first location opened in April 2023 in Moab, Utah.
