UK: The Book Direct Show, a key event for short-term rental property managers, boutique hoteliers, B&B owners and serviced accommodation providers, has announced its content schedule of industry expert discussions and insight into how to generate more direct bookings.
A series of live events will run online from 1-10 September, enabling property managers to attend globally and watch on-demand, as well as an in-person conference on Monday 13 September at Tobacco Dock in London.
The live Book Direct Show in London, for up to 150 attendees, will be one of the industry’s first face-to-face networking events in 2021.

Delegates will have the opportunity to learn invaluable, practical insights into how to grow their businesses independently and take back control of their bookings. Data from show sponsor Syncbnb indicates that direct bookings have increased from 22 per cent to 25 per cent from 2019 to 2020, indicating that guests may be starting to look outside the big OTAs for accommodation options.
A carefully curated, diverse schedule of educational content has been hand-picked and includes industry experts.
Sessions will deliver insights on B2B strategies, booking conversion, consumer trust, content marketing, data analysis, email marketing, guest experience, Google, professionalisation, revenue management, SEO, social media, story-telling, technology, website design, video marketing and much more. Confirmed speakers include Mark Simpson, Vince Perez, Michael De Jongh, Nancy McAleer and Sarah Riley.
Founded by Damian Sheridan and co-directed by Deborah Labi, both experienced short-term rental industry experts, the Book Direct Show was born in response to the growing concern from accommodation providers around independence, professionalism and safeguarding the future profitability of their businesses.
They said: “The Book Direct movement has been a hot topic in 2021. We are excited to host one of the first in-person industry events of the year this September, showcasing a stellar lineup of expert speakers who will give their tips to property managers on how to grow their businesses independently.
“The tactical, educational advice on offer in London and online, will offer practical ways in which to take back control of bookings – whether you are a short-term rental property manager, boutique hotelier or serviced apartment provider,” they added.
ShortTermRentalz is the media partner for the 2021 Book Direct Show and will feature content from the show’s organisers and speakers over the coming weeks.
