Worldwide: Rentals United, the cloud-based channel manager and technology solution for the short-term rental industry, has announced James Burrows as its new chief executive officer.
Burrows previously held the position of chief operating officer of Rentals United as well as being one of the company’s original co-founders when it was established in 2015.
Rentals United was founded when four leading and competing European vacation rental agencies collaborated to find an effective solution to automate inventory distribution. The co-founders developed a platform which stores information about properties and automatically updates it across a number of listing sites, thus ensuring that property managers can successfully and simultaneously market their properties across multiple channels.
Today, Rentals United handles thousands of rental listings displayed on over 70 listing sites due to its partnership with over 100 global technology partners with hundreds of property management customers.
Burrows said: “I’m delighted to be taking the reins of Rentals United which has enjoyed phenomenal success over the last four years with a 100 per cent YOY rapid sales growth during the last couple of years.
“We see incredible opportunities for Rentals United to further ourselves in the travel tech space and we believe that our focus on automation and connectivity will help our clients and the industry as a whole to grow,” he added.
Rentals United has its headquarters in Stockholm and its key management teams are based in Barcelona.
