UK: Harrison Leisure (UK) Ltd has acquired Ardlui Hotel, Marina and Holiday Park on the shores of Loch Lomond, adding to its growing portfolio of holiday parks across the UK.

The site, which had been in the same family ownership since 1978, was brought to market due to retirement. The estate includes a twelve-bedroom hotel, a lakeside marina and a caravan park licensed for 96 units. It was marketed by Colliers with a guide price of offers over ÂŁ7 million.

The acquisition is Harrison Leisure’s second purchase this year, following its acquisition of Crofthead Holiday Park in Ayr in January.

Richard Moss, head of UK parks agency at Colliers, said the resort’s setting on Loch Lomond offers a strong foundation for hospitality, adding that the incoming owners are expected to continue the existing operation alongside modernisation plans.

William Harrison, director at Harrison Leisure, said the group was pleased to bring Ardlui into its portfolio, describing it as a significant addition with hotel, accommodation and marina facilities.

Brian Squires, who purchased the hotel in 1978, said he was pleased to see the resort pass to new custodians who shared a similar ethos.

The vendors were advised by Stirling Gilmour (legal), Clements Chartered Accountants (financial) and Colliers. The buyers were advised by Carters Law.
