The partnership makes Minut the only short-term rental monitoring solution among Sykes’ preferred partners.
Sykes has over 30 years’ experience in the UK holiday letting industry and is one of the country’s fastest-growing agencies. It currently offers more than 22,500 holiday homes across the UK, Ireland and New Zealand.
The company hosts more than 2.5 million travellers each year, with guest experience and property safety amongst its top priorities. Minut will arm Sykes’ homeowners with instant insight into their holiday homes, so that they can have peace of mind knowing their properties are safe, guests are comfortable, and neighbours are happy.
Sykes’ Added Value initiative provides exclusive discounts and rates on industry-leading services to its holiday homeowners, with careful vetting of recommended partners. We’re proud to have made the cut and are excited to help their homeowners care for their homes, guests and communities.
Among its features, Minut offers environmental monitoring, including temperature and humidity. In this way, homeowners can identify any irregularities with heating and/or air conditioning [AC] and save on energy bills, while making sure their guests are comfortable.
Minut also monitors loud sounds and alarms going off in the rental, helping homeowners keep their properties safe. By keeping an eye on motion, property managers can secure their homes between bookings too.
In addition to monitoring, Minut also offers integrations and automations to make guest communication more efficient. The company’s growing list of integration partners includes property management systems, smart lock and smart thermostat providers.
Nils Mattisson, Minut co-founder and CEO, said: “We’re thrilled to help the Sykes Holiday Cottages team and owners protect their holiday homes. They’re renowned for their high standard, so we knew Minut would be a great fit in their properties.”
Dominique Morelis, Sykes’ Added Value & Estate Agent specialist, said: “We aim to support our owners in any way we can and throughout all stages of the holiday letting journey. When it comes to short-term rentals, safety, security and sustainability are all really important, so it’s great that this partnership will assist with all of this – helping our home owners care for their properties, guests and local communities.”
In October, Minut announced a similar collaboration with Airbnb to support its Good Neighbour Campaign, bringing together a series of measures and resources to help combat anti-social behaviour in short-term rentals.
