Monaker Group appoints Tim Sikora as CIO
US: Technology-driven travel firm Monaker Group has appointed Tim Sikora in the newly-created role of chief information officer.
Sikora will be tasked with managing all information technologies including the integrations of travel distributors with the company’s Monaker Booking Engine (MBE), a customisable, instant-booking platform for alternative accommodations and vacation rentals. He will lead Monaker’s technical teams to drive platform development, innovation and design for scale.
The MBE currently provides access to more than 2.6 million instantly bookable vacation rental homes, villas, chalets, apartments, condos, resort residences and castles.
The CIO will bring more than 22 years of IT, sales and operational experience in the travel industry to Monaker.
Sikora previously served as director of sales for North America at Boeing, and led the expansion of IT services companies Peak 10 and Ciber. He was also director of Information Technology End User Services at US Airways, VP of airline operations and chief information officer at Caribbean Sun Airlines, and manager of information technology at DHL Airways.
